Track the flu based on search engine activity, and download audio and video flu-related podcasts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)! There's typically new estimated flu activity data each morning based on the prior day's searches. In addition, users can set up silent push alerts to notify them when estimated flu activity level changes for a location they choose (choose among all 50 states and DC, or the entire USA).
If a user listens to or views a CDC podcast that he or she finds particularly applicable to the prevailing flu situation, Flu Recon allows that user to e-mail friends, colleagues, and patients links to the podcast. This feature will allow the spread of official information to individuals who aren't familiar with the CDC Website and may not even have an Internet-capable mobile device.
Notes: Estimated flu activity data source is Google Flu Trends http://www.google.org/flutrends. homedatasheet.com, Inc. is not affiliated with Google or CDC.
